I have an 89 325i convertible ... cinnabar red with black interior, dark grey carpet, and black convertible top. Body and bumper trim are also black.

I am replacing the top in a few months. Two questions for your consideration:

1) What type of top should I ask for? There are several options and styles. This car is not a daily driver ... more of a fun car. Which top looks best?
Note: I don't like the greenish back window.

2) Would you consider a replacement top in any color other than black considering the color scheme of the car? If so, what color do you think would look good?

Being in the same climate you are in, you may want to consider a lighter top. I am not saying you should, I just replaced mine with a like black but it is hot in the summer. Do you have a good top guy? Find out and get references, I had a few issues with mine. Good luck and happy driving!
