Ok Im about to have to go pick up 2 new tires today.
My choices are,

Toyo Proxes (FZ4)? $349.02
(mounted, balanced, free limited road hazard, free rotations)

Federal Tires $265
(mounted, balanced, free limited road hazard, free rotations)

Nankane $264.65
(mounted, balanced, free limited road hazard, free rotations)

These are all prices from Les Schwab as they are the ONLY! ones in the entire Sacramento area that actually stock the 235/40/17 tire size. So keep in mind that the proxes might be too costly for me right now. What would you guys do?

PS: wire is showing through on current tires so this is kind of necessary for today.

Dude, I honestly know nothing about Federal or Nankane tires. Would stay away. If you can hold out a few days - get a Fedex from tirerack.

None of them are high performance tires. If that is my only choice, i'd gor for the toty.

seems to be a little bit of distaste for Toyo's on this board.
They are pretty well recommended by a lot of shops around this area. Allthough tirerack doesn't carry them, so I can't really compare them to the tires I'm used to looking at. Have you all had bad experiences with the tires?

I don't dislike Toyo tires. In fact I think the Proxes T1S is an excellent performance tire comparable to S03 and Pilot Sports. I am just saying that the FZ4 are not high performance tires and should not be on a performance car lie an M3.

Well....they were the only Z rated tire I could get on a Saturday hehe so I had to go with them.
