Help!!!!
My 328ci 1999 model will not start.
The OBD says P1622
with fuel trim faults
This is the best bit.
Start the car, when it decides to start.
Run it.
When the coolant temp hits 95 degrees celcius. the car shakes and stalls.
I was monitoring the O2 sensors all 4???
And when it hits that temp, ALL the O2 sensors read zero
I believe Bank 1, sensor 2, had a minimal/zero reading leading upto it stalling
Bank 2, sensor 2 was hardly registering anything. but when i reset the monitoring all came on, then once 95 degrees hit, all went dead.
which O2 sensors are these??? pre cat or post cat
Ive changed the coolant sensor/thermostat already as it was saying it was out of range. This no longer appears.
Do the pre cat Lambda (o2) sensors operate in sequence, ie 1 starts reading, then once the other is up to temp, it kicks in. same with the post cat sensors?
Help!!!!!
Im on the verge of selling the thing. Ive always had BMW, 7 so far, even raced the E36 last year and won the BMW championship on my 1st go.
Thats a measure of how much i love BMW....but
this is my 1st E46 and has broken down within 24 hours of owning it. and over the past week has cut out on the road numerous times and left me stranded in the middle of the road.
I really hate this car like you would not believe. What were BMW playing at when they made this car???
Its horrific
