3M General Purpose Masking Tape.

Use it like a lint brush. Pretty much pulls dog hair out of the carpet!

does anyone successfully use a vacuum/attachment to remove dog hair?
My standard shop vac attachments don't get the job done.
However, we have short-pile rugs in the house where we use a vacuum with a rotating brush head and it does the job right.

Without resorting to dragging my home vacuum outside, does anyone use a small vacuum or attachment that they use to pick up dog hair?

The vacuum only seems to get "loose" hair.

When the hair get entangled in the carpet, the vacuum is useless.

The process of rubbing the attachments on the carpet seems to entangle the hair in the carpet.

I just go straight to masking tape now.

Not perfect, but the dog is family.

I use duct tape to get lint from my jackets and sweaters out of my seats. Good tip! Thanks for bringing it up.

Cool, thanks count!
I hesitated to use the tape method because I would go through a lot of tape with all of the hair my dog can deposit in just a short trip to the vet!
But you're right about the normal vacuum tools just seeming to make it worse shoving the hairs deeper in the carpet.

I'll give it a shot, thanks again.
