MParallel 10-11-2007, 06:31 PM I think it comes with a new window.
DakarYM3 10-11-2007, 06:34 PM thank you for the quick reply. in fact, i bought the new window from emiata and it does not come with my new plastic window......now my old rubber is cracking up...i don't know what to do now.....
MParallel 10-11-2007, 06:45 PM Hmm shouldn't bought a BMW window.
What's wrong with your old rubber?
DakarYM3 10-11-2007, 07:49 PM the left side of the rubber frame cracked and broke loose.............should i simply use the super glue to fix it? i am just afraid that once i glue them, they will crack again since that's where the window folds..............
and btw, what do you mean by "i shoudln't have bought a bmw window"??
E-miata has a canvas weather strip, not a rubber one. He got into a copyright thing with a rubber one. I have heard it works fine. No, you can not buy a rubber seal, call E-miata, he can help.

+1 I'll be ordering from e-miata before the end of the year.
My rubber trim has been looking horrible for... well, longer than I want to admit. There is no glue or adhesive I have found that will hold up to the folding of the window and stay attached to the canvas.
If somone else finds otherwise, please let me know.
toplessinokc 10-12-2007, 11:22 PM I bought mine from the dealer, no problems here. We have a great dealer in OKC.

so why dont you just buy it from the 'dearl' that says you can buy it seperately, then return it if its not what you want?
:dunno
fleetster 10-15-2007, 07:56 AM Brashland,
I used something called Tiger sealant (Used to seal Train windows!) about 2 months ago. Seems to have held togeather :) Plus i have had the roof down a few times and its still in tact
millertimebmw03 10-15-2007, 09:10 AM I have a rubber emiata one :D and the canvas one works just as well!
manya2 10-16-2007, 09:30 PM I've fixed mine w/3M marine adhesive sealant 5200 black.I shave the bad part flat to the window and mold the sealant a bit at the time to the level of the frame.Frame the area w/tape and put thing cotes till you fill the gap.It takes 24 to 48 hrs.I did mine a year ago,no problems so far,it's about $10
