What photo finishing did you do to this one. I really like the sharp vs blurry background effect and the lighting is perfect. I try and try, but can't seem to get anything that crisp or as well lit. I'm shooting a Cannon 20D with a 17-85 lens. If I shot this pic my levels would be way off with the background bleeding out car or shadows too dark on the car. Did you spot meter this? How did you get the blurred background effect? Through lens zoom, low Fstop for depth of field or editing. What about sharpening, is there any unshapr mask in there? Not trying to make you devluge all your secrets, so no worries, if you don't want to share. I just want to take better pics!

I just want to take better pics! The blurred background (bokeh effect) on that pic was the result of using large aperture (low f-number). I used f/2.8 at 70mm (I think) using my 24-70mm L lens. I also combined two different exposures for that pic. And I always do unsharp mask on all my pics.
Here's another shot I took using very low f-number:

DucHuynh007 11-06-2007, 02:13 AM if you wouldve driven a block up past the light into the houses you turned left on, you wouldve seen my buddys M3 and also your biggest fan. He blew a tire on his 19in work wheels and when I pulled up and told him I saw you It felt like he was about to run after you for a second.

Thanks for the tips. Did you combine using photomatrix?
I need to use unsharp mask more.
