Wash out of direct sunlight and paint should be cool to the touch. Keep the car wet until ready to dry. You can try a quick detailer spray to remove water spots and boost the shine. Water stains like acid rain will have to be polished out with random orbital or rotary polishing machine and some brand of polishing compound.

They very well may be old water stains, chances are indeed. Claying is your friend for this.

Wash. Clay. Polish. Wax/Seal.

Then try to keep water from washing or mother nature from drying on/in your car's paint moving forward. For this, Quik Detail sprays FTW.

Get yourself a bottle of meguiars quik detailer and a microfiber cloth. Spray and wipe, then say goodbye to rain spots. Great stuff, I keep a bottle in my trunk at all times. :redspot

First wash the car and than use the PINNACLE Ultra Poly Clay with the Clay lubricant fallowed by the PINNACLE Paintwork Cleansing Lotion. these products will remove the water spots off the paint surface of your BMW. After using these products put a coat of PINNACLE Souveran Paste Wax on the BMW.
