Anybody else here find those little scratches/scuffs/dings,,etc, when you wash your car? The ones you dont see when you look the car over but spot when you are washing? ESPECIALLY after buying the car.

If the previous owner used a product with fillers, they can get washed away leaving the scratches and swirls that were there all along, but were filled in making them less noticable.

You can either fill them in again and wait for it to wash away once again or you can actually polish down the clear to remove the defects and try to keep the car as clean as possible to decrease the possibility of reswirling the clear.

The dealerships love to use products with fillers.

Yup.. when you buy a car like that, only to discover that in time as the fillers evaporate, or after a wash and the micromarring gets exposed, you feel like you want to sue the guy who sold it to you for False impersonation of a car with a perfect finish!

But I dont think youd get too far.. Instead, just attack it like you would any car finish that needs work. With knowledge and effort, youll get it looking better than it did with its fillers, plus, the damage wont keep reappearing over time!

Good stuff, never thought about fillers. I've been wanting to clean her up an put her away for the winter but the weather's just been to nice.
