My e34 M5 is on its way. So open to serious offers. $2100 obo for two complete e34 535i 5-speed manual cars. I am very reasonable and flexible, if you could bear losing some of the high dollar parts I can always go cheaper.
1990 535i 189k. 5 speed. Black on Black. UUC short shifter. EAT Chip. Great shape, unmolested, was in accident
1990 535i 162k. 5 speed. Black on Black. Hoopty.
Well after the fact, I don't think I want to take this project on. Seeing if anyone else would want to. This is for two identical cars. One is driveable, the other needs a trailer.
The first car was my pride and joy. I spent a lot of time looking for this car in such good shape. Everything worked. None of the typical e34 problems, everything had been addressed with new parts and well maintained by previous owners as well as myself. Drove like a new car and shifted like butter. I was told there is royal purple in the trans and diff. The only thing was I think the rear air shocks were on there way out and had rust at the botton the the driver and passenger front doors (rears were reconditioned) Then I was struck hard on the driver front 1/4, making the car a total loss. Engine is still good, interior, as well as just about everything else. I was going to use all the good parts on this car for the other car. It has been in a garage since accident. Has nice CD player professionally installed. UUC short shifter and EAT chip.
Second car I just picked up and it has a real strong motor and looks like it was well taken care of a few owners ago. The clutch is also very strong. Besides that I consider it a mess. Definately a city car. It has all the typical e34 problems. It seems like things were replaced though, but the minimum to keep the car mechanically sound. (Receipts for new clutch master, clutch slave, alternator, belts, etc). Both passenger doors dented. Front suspension real worn, bad 50-60 shimmy, hole in muffler, no stereo, uninvestegated driveshaft noise in first and second gear. Wrong size tires. Third gear sounded a little rough too. Though I did drive it home an hour on the highway and it seemed surprisingly well behaved at 80 mph. Hey the sunroof works at least plus the driver headlight is a euro smiley and it has sideskirts, though they are screwed on. Oh and for whatever reason this car has brand new wood trim on the front dash.
Between the 2 cars, you could make one good car with plenty of parts left over to sell. The only part I dont have is a driver airbag. Neither car has one.
I will be able to get a ton of pictures up as well as a better write up, I was just seeing if there would be interest. I was thinking around the $2100 range for the pair, but am open to serious parties.
