SJJ28 03-20-2003, 08:34 PM I put my front Brembo GranTurismo Kit on today, and the 19" SSR GT3's won't clear it. Arggghh:bawl
Anyone want a Killer deal on some 1500 mile 19X8.5 and 19X10 SSR Gt3's?
$2,400.
Steve
ADVANT123 03-20-2003, 08:36 PM Why not try to run spacers?
Kevlar 03-20-2003, 09:01 PM yeah man, try spacers... at least until you can get some rims that'll fit.
Sticky 03-20-2003, 09:06 PM No no, spacers are bad, sell me the rims :D
SJJ28 03-20-2003, 09:26 PM beacause that wont work! They dont clear by almost 1/2 inch, and a spacer that large would put the wheel out too far.
SJJ28 03-20-2003, 09:27 PM sticky, email me @ steve@thelastdetail.com

Ouch... well, if it's any constellation, I hear that spacers are very bad against M3 suspension. Apparently BMW engineers went through a great deal of trouble to put the perfect slip angle setup on our cars and by introducing spacers into the mix it throws somethings off.
Granted... a 10mm spacer isn't going to end the world, but if BMW went through all the trouble to make at least something perfect (don't know why they choose the slip angle instead of something more substantial), I might as well leave it the way it is.
M3 2 NV 03-20-2003, 11:03 PM All you need is a 15mm spacer and you will have no problems at all. Others have done this as well, or you could sell them to sticky!
HTownM3 03-21-2003, 01:44 AM u selling with tires?? i'll take them.
trovan 03-21-2003, 04:09 AM is that with tires? i will take them too.
kooguy1110 03-21-2003, 06:00 AM for real?how come seems fine on this car?
Sticky 03-21-2003, 06:30 AM Damn the GT3's are nice wheels. Now I have to debate wether to get the GT3's and look hot or get the ssr competitions which weigh less. Damnit, damnit.
SJJ28 03-21-2003, 11:30 AM That price was without tires. If you want the tires, $600 more.
The other M3 either has just the caliper upgrade, and not the larger rotor and hub, or is running 15mm spacers, or he butchered the rear of his wheel. All of those options are somewhat ghetto, and I will not do them!!
email me @ steve@thelastdetail.com if anyone is interested in the wheels Thanks
Steve

Well that car is in fact real, but I think Mon was running Stop Techs not Brembos at that time. Message him on this board and ask him what he did to get them to fit.
Here are some more pictures of that setup that I took myself.

SJJ28 03-22-2003, 09:42 AM In That close up, it is obvious he is running a rather large (10-15mm) spacer. Looks great, but no spacer for me!!

Why would you want to trade? Didn't you just get those rims?
