Hello Chaps and Chappesses, I used to post a little here on the 6 pages, the coupe bug has bit again and I've just bought a very light 850i (1990) insurance write-off.

Damage is to bonnet/hood and top of drivers A pillar, it's a right hand drive, which is cool as I'm in England.

I can't get it started, she starts, fires once (won't rev) and dies. So something has come adrift, some sensor or similar. Can someone tell me where the inertia switch is (is it under the dash???), not sure this is the problem as if I use the throttle/gas when trying to start I can smell alot of fuel in the exhaust and the inertia switch would isolate that....

Has anyone any experience or suggestions where to look, I've managed to download the Factory Manual and the Electronic Troubleshooting Manual. I've got most of tomorrow to play, looking for any hints.

By the way I've still got the 635csi - pure greed - 635 and 850 :redspot
