damascus are those h & r sport springs installed on there with the OEM shocks? at how many miles did you install the springs??? have you had to worry about rubbing or any other issues when u have 4 people in the car? that drop looks great! :)

yes, they are the H&R sport springs... with the original shocks at 37K. no issues at all and i have had my entire family of 5 in the car a dozen times now. speed bumps are not an issue either... they are perfect. the front springs have settled a bit since the photo and the rear almost are 'tucked'.

she's 8months pregnant right now and HATES riding in my car due to the stiff suspension...

big part of it also is the shitty oem tires which i will probably replace soon.

I don't know if looking like a melting E39 is good... I guess looking like an E39 at is good. Anyway, I never liked the E60s until my dad picked one up recently. Every time I walk to the car from afar it just looks better. Now I really like the way they look. It just grows on you.

punch in H&R 50464 in ebay motors... you'll find a bunch under $300. but first, punch in H&R 50464 in the search engine here for lots of info. and opinions on the springs. mine are the 'sport' and not the 'race -88' style. look at some of blacksapphire's posts - he convinced me on the set up. :clap

my wife has not noticed the stiffer ride. steering input is quicker and it handles the corners more flat - no body roll at all (not that there was much in the first place).

my bmw sources convinced me that there was no reason at all to change out the shocks. they were correct, of course. it was a fairly big job to install them, however - the rear seat had to come out, etc. my bmw indy took care of the installation. i couldn't be happier with the drop and ride!

Here is mines. My next to do list is to lower it and some new wheels. :)
