Anyone ever heard of or used this tester? It was in this months issue of Road & Track. Their site is http://www.CarMD.com. Price is $89.99 with a $10 off code of RATNAV.

Not sure how it stacks up to other testers, but you can use it on up to 3 cars. Is this a POS or is it worth it?

CarMD is no POS. One of my buddies used it on his car and it's as good as any of those $200 code readers you get at the local auto parts store. He used it when his Check Engine light was on and saved a bunch of money on repairs. I'm ordering one for myself with that $10 bucks off deal.

Other than BC-BMWs 'buddy', has anybody else had any experience with the unit in question?

Yes, I bought one. My wife's '99 Land Cruiser had a Check Engine light. I used it and it identifed the O2 sensor as the problem, gave me a parts estimate, and labor estimate. The dealer wanted $200 more than the estimate, but I was able to talk him down based on the printout. Worked for me.
