Double posting from the track section.
The St. Louis chapter of the BMW club is hosting a club racing school Friday and Saturday (November 2nd and 3rd) as part of its fall HPDE weekend. You must have a minimum of 4 track events successfully completed in order to enter. Vehicles need not be race prepped in order to participate but must pass a stringent track day inspection prior to the event date. The emphasis of this program is on the "school" part and not racing. No timing is allowed. Drivers will learn situational skills and dealing with other cars in a more advanced fashion. If you are thinking about taking a leap up to wheel to wheel competition this is another step along the way. Entry for the school is $495.00 and includes a bonus day on Sunday where you will be a normal HPDE participant in one of the advanced groups. The club website is www.stlbmwclub.com for weekend information and registration. More information is posted on the national club racing website www.bmwccaclubracing.com in the event schedule section.
