I need some new pads for my PC.
I dont need anything too aggressive, I would use it to apply wax and maybe use it for cleaner wax. Im looking to buy a few pads.

If that's all you want, you might just get a white Lake Country pad for the cleaner wax.
Then just a blue or black Lake Country pad for plain waxing. Whichever is more dense will absorb less product, so that may be the best way to go.

Meguiar's finishing pad (http://www.autogeek.net/mgw9006.html) works great for applying waxes. Another choice is Lake Country gray pads (http://www.autogeek.net/lc-ccs-6inch-pads.html).
Both of these will work equally as well, so it is just a matter of personal preference. If you already have a backing plate, just use the pad that matches; if not, you will need a backing plate as well.

6.5inchers will do you fine. Heed the advice abotut the backing plates. I ignored it initially and ate through a megs pad.

There is no benefit to applying wax with a rotary. Most waxes should be applied by hand and in extremely thin coats. It's the wax removal that benefits from buffing. You will want to get some bonnets (http://www.autogeek.net/temibo.html) and change them frequently, using maybe 4 to 6 for a car.

I must disagree. I bought the wool pad and several microfiber bonnets for use with the UDM. A total waste of money and electricity. It's much easier to buff wax off by hand, in my opinion, than using a random orbital buffer.

Which size to buy?
Depends on the size of your BP. Just make sure there's at least some overhang of the pad to your BP. You don't want the BP to hit any paint while buffing as it could scar your paint. The overlap helps prevent that.

Lake Country Blue would be ideal for wax application. An Orange pad with some Microfiber Bonnets will be good for removal... The ORange pad can also be used for Cleaner waxes and polishes if you end up going that route.....
Great results can be had by waxing by hand, and the same can be said for using a machine.....
These are to answer your question... There are plenty of threads with diff processes and products to use for certain results.. Have fun...

I just purchased the Zaino kit and my PC. Any advice on which pads to use for those applications?
