Redline Time Attack invited us down to compete in their 2nd Mid-Atlantic event at VIR this coming weekend, so we'll be out in force again - this time with Andy Watts' s54 monster in addition to our E46, James representing in the Mod class, and a couple of other club racers coming out for the first time.

We're proud to be helping the folks at Redline introduce the type of cars and competition that will be duking it out in their new class next year for purpose built race cars, and this is the perfect venue for it. GT Live features a 6 hour Koni Challenge race, drift competitions and demos, karting, and Rally-X events in addition to the Redline Time Attack battle. Definitely a full card of motorsports action for 3 full days.

Redline is offering quite a bit of track time on the full course for a very reasonable price if anyone is interested in signing up (registration is still open) and being a part of what promises to be an exciting event.

As always, spectators and competitors are welcome to take advantage of the AC in the RRT trailer, grill some food and hang out. Hope to see some of you down there!

PS - Everyone should send PM's to Brian Hair and convince him to register :devillook

I have posted an update in the track forum. The RRT built Watt's C-mod car turned an unbelievable 1:59.9. First time it has ever dipped below 2 minutes. It might be the first time a club racer has done so ever....

DAMN! Looks like our drivers finished mid-pack in the Koni race, turning a 2:15. I can't even imagine a sub-2min time @ VIR Full.

Confirmed that the 1:59 would have set the overall Club Racing record at VIR....oh well. We will have vids up tonight or tomorrow morning. BTW - the car is usually at the shop if people want to stop by and take a peak.

I heard that Andy ended up second overall (first in RWD) to a 600 HP Mitsu developed by the Engineering School at the Univ of Colorado and driven by the professional driver, Paul Gerrard. I think our #85 ended up 3rd or 4th overall.
