Actually with the seats you have in that thing we can probably sit side by side in the driver's seat.

This would be my first autox if i decide to go to this one on the 20th, or the earlier one on the 13th. Few questions.. What time should i get there? What time does it end? Would a dirtbiking helmet with the visor removed be appropriate? Is there anything i need to know?? I read the Autox FAQ's and the rules and whatnot but they didnt answer some of my questions.
TIA

You need a Snell 95 or newer (Snell 00 or snell 05) helmet. There are usually loaners available. No dirtbike helmets are snell approved as far as I know.

Look at my sig. I am using a Snell 95 approved Kevlar dirtbike helmet with visor. Look around inside the helmet, you should see a Snell sticker, it may not be readily visible but it should be there, if you can't find the Snell sticker you can't use the helmet. People that rag on dirtbike helmets are uninformed.

I may head down to Bowie to help you setup, shoot first heat, then head back closer to home to watch and grab pics at Ripken.

If it's Snell approved then it's legal. No big deal. I didn't realize there were people that had such hard-ons for dirtbike helmet awareness.

If you get there at around 7:45 you should have enough time to get situated. If you run in the morning heats, you will be done early, 1PMish. If you run in the afternoon, you will be done before 5PM.

Currently there are very few people signed up for the event. You could probably run both in the morning and the afternoon if you want to pay and work twice.
