Hey guys,

I have '99 323i with 86k, only mods are are UUC swaybars and 17" wheels. Took it in for the dreaded rear clunk and found my left rear subframe mount is tearing through the unibody. I've read here and elsewhere that some people were able to get BMWNA to do the fix for free or a discount. I was just curious if since my car is so old that I should even try to get BMW to do something. I also need new new brakes and bodywork, so getting my car to good condition is gonna cost around $6k. The car is only worth 8-9k in flawless condition, so I'm looking at getting a new car, but I do really like this car... what do you guys think? Thanks.

Talk to the service manager at your local BMW dealership. If you get no answers that you wish to hear from him, talk to the general manager. BMW NA should take care of this defect for you

Age shouldn't matter, these cars still shouldn't do that.
