Recent maintenance includes oil change (every 3000 miles, with Castrol GTX + Mann filter every time), coolant flush, various hoses replaced, fuel filter replaced, idle control valve cleaned, thermostat replaced; transmission fluid is current.

The car does have some problems. Paint looks good for being 13 years old but does have some blemishes. Just repainted trunk due to clear coat issues, and they did a GREAT job on that.

Also, I am concerned that there may be an issue with the rear alignment/suspension, as I just had to replace the rear tires (Brand new Sumitomo HTR+ were installed) due to uneven wear. I will realign this week, but I am concerned that is an issue with the suspension rather than an alignment problem, as I realigned right after installing the last tires.

There is a cooling issue--on a hot day, with the A/C on, in heavy traffic or stop & go driving, the temp gauge will start reading warm (never gets to the red). I think this may be a fan clutch issue.

Top must be manually raised/lowered, as there are issues with the power top mechanism, most likely with the motor linkages versus the top motors themselves.

Small electrical gremlin just popped up--the gauges occasionally go off, then back on in a few seconds. I suspect a fuse or loose connection and will check it out this week.

That's all I can think of right now. I will update tomorrow.

I joined bimmerforums in August 2003 and was active until I started med school in 2005 (go figure). Anyway, below are some pics I just took this evening. Tomorrow I will put up some more with better lighting.

Looking to get $4750 OBO.

Thanks for lookin'
