New to this forum...
Just purchased a new 07 X5.
Tried to get the Homelink to recognize my garagedoor opener for over 1 hour - no luck. I went to the BMW & Homelink websites and followed directions

I also spent a long time with my Motorola Razr - no luck. The ATT store informed me that my BMW does not support the Bluetooth version I have.

Can anyone help with info on this?

I did not realize how many attempts were required. It took about 30 minutes of trying various positions.

It took me about 1.5 hours of trying to get the homelink to work. Don't know why it took so long, but I found I had to repeat the process over and over and over and over from all kinds of different positions until it eventually worked. So stupid. Took one try and 30 seconds on the last car.

Both my wife's and my RAZR (crap phone) paired on the first attempt. Although I will say that the X5 owners manual, the additional material on the BMW website and the RAZR manual are fully accurate for describing the steps required to pair the phone.
