Just got my e39 detailed by Teckniks (Ed).

Its a 6 year old Cosmos black wagon that was stored outside and never polished/waxed by the PO. It had numerous paint defects, swirls, some deep scratches, etc., not to mention oxidation out da wazoo. I have a Porter Cable and know how to work some paint a lil bit, but this job was clearly over my head. I retained Ed for the sole purpose of working the paint over - no interior work, tire glaze, etc. - just da paint.

Anyway, Ed arrived at my house at 9:00 am and left at 5:30 pm. Dude washed, clayed, polished, polished again, again, waxed, waxed again and massaged the hell out of the paint like he was the fuggin karate kid and I was Mr. Miyagi!

The results are truly astonishing. I should have taken before/after shots, but didn't. :( 95% of the scratches are either gone or hidden. Zero swirls. 100% clarity of the paint was achieved - allowing the Cosmos to really show its colors. I went over the whole car w/ a microfiber to inspect for white residue. None of that. He took his time and did it right. Big ups to Ed.:buttrock

Cliff Notes: He did a great job and I am very happy w/ the result.:D

awesome!

I am thinking of having Ed do something like this? Can we get a price range, or is that only PM material?

Is that ed with the estoril e36 m3? I didn't realize he did detailing I should have asked him when I met him and got a little ride in his car at the last KOP meet.

Anytime Garrett, I appreciate you being so nice and welcoming. Gimme a ride in the purple beast next time I see you. ;) I'm detailing my friends 06 Viper Coupe tomorrow, I'll post some pics in OT.

If you can do 2 in a day, my e34's paint needs some serious attention, and I'm also just over the PA border on 83.

hey ed if you're willing to come out to DE borderline md I need to do my car also. Send me a pm with a quote. I can arrange a shop for us to do it in. Also it would be nice to see your ride again. I'm the kid that drove you to the md border from Steve (bsaint) last meet.
