To make a long story short, a lackluster performance from my lawyer to rectify a clerical error on my VA driving record, as well as a recent need to change living arrangements (moving into a new place soon), I am forced to sell the M5.
It's a 2000, Carbon Black on Caramel, with 80k on the clock. It had a recent oil and filter change.
Upgrades:
*Euro headlamps with HIDs and angel eyes.
*2001+ update rear lamps
All known problems are as follows:
*Clutch has started to slip - I am including an OE clutch kit from LuK
*Front right control arm bushing knocks on occassion - I'm including an OE bushing kit
*The keyfob doesn't want to unlock or lock the car. I haven't had the chance to have it reprogrammed
*The LR window doesn't want to go down. I haven't investigated that yet
*The rear cupholder is broken. The front is brand new, but I didn't see the rear until after I ordered the front...
*The SES light is on for the normal secondary air carbon deposits
I was quoted by a local BMW service center for the clutch and suspension bushing 12 hours of labor for separate jobs (they will probably knock that down if done simultaneously). At $95/hr, that's $1140. I am really busy with work, and can't get the car serviced, unfortunately.
Kelly Blue Book private party value for my zip (36535):
$27,640
Adjusted with the labor cost:
$26,500
Asking:
$26,000
The car is in really great shape, guys. I really wish I could keep it, but for now, my M5 driving days will have to be paused until a future date. I'd like to find a good home for her if at all possible.
Regards,
Kevin
