Description: * Inspection II was performed by JMK BMW at 71k miles.

Exterior: The outside of the car is in near perfect condition. The paint is in very good shape and shines beautifully. The car was originally a Florida car so some of the rubber trim around the windows were a little worn when I bought it, but I had them replaced with new OEM parts. Unfortunately, there are a few very little “dings” on various locations of the car. These are very minor and hardly noticeable. I try my best to avoid getting them when I have to park somewhere but it seems like no matter how hard I try they still find their way onto the car. I also replaced the side grills with the blacked out version and the front reflectors are painted to match the car. These are the only aftermarket parts on the vehicle. I feel that these minor changes give the car a much cleaner look. They are also very minor which means if you don’t like them than you could easily change it.

Wheels: I actually have 2 sets of wheels with tires for the car. That means that you will be receiving 8 wheels and tires in total. All of the wheels are the stock 18 rims that come with the car. The set of wheels that are currently on the car are sitting on Michelin Pilot Sport’s with about 50% life left. The spare set of wheels have Hankook Ventus tires that have about 75% life left. The wheels are in pretty decent shape. The spare set does have some curb rash from the previous owner but they could easily be refinished.

Interior: I would give the interior of this car a rating of 8/10. The leather is in very good shape. The rear and passenger seats look pretty new with no cracking or major wear. The driver seat does show normal signs of wear but there is no major cracking or anything of that nature. The armrest was broken when I bought the car and I never got around to fixing it. The dashboard, steering wheel, carpet, upholstery, etc are in excellent shape. EVERYTHING in the interior of the car works perfectly. The a/c blows cold and every button does what it is supposed to do.

Mechanical: The only thing I can say about the engine is that I have never had to deal with it and that is a very good thing. I changed the oil every 3k miles with the stock oil. The car has also been taken to the dealer for oil changes when I didn’t have the time to do it myself. This car has never seen any type of shop other than the dealer since I have owned it. The clutch was also replaced at about 60k miles with the OEM clutch kit. I also decided to have the transmission mounts replaced just to be on the safe side. The car runs perfectly and shifts just as nice. There is no grinding or anything like that in the transmission. The car shifts and runs exactly the way it is supposed to. Most of the miles that have been put on this car have been genuine highway miles. I live in Pennsylvania, commute to work in New Jersey, and also commute to school which is further west in Pa. This car has had a very easy life since I have had it.

Reason for selling: I have several reasons why I am selling the car but I will admit that this has been a hard decision. This car has been great in every way and I truly do not want to get rid of it. The main reason why I am selling it is because I recently purchased a home and I simply cannot afford both at this point in my life. I am financing the M3 and the monthly payment along with my new mortgage, utilities, and other home related expenses, are simply too much for me to handle. Another major reason is that neither me or my fiancé have a 4x4 for the winter. I do a lot of driving and I do not want to take my chances with the M3. I can tell you right now that if I came into some money within the next couple of weeks, I definitely wouldn’t be selling this car. I tried my best to make sure I covered everything you would want to know about the car. Basically, this car is in beautiful shape and is without a doubt the most reliable car I have ever owned. The performance of the car is unbelievable in every way but at the same time it is a very civilized and reliable vehicle. I have really babied this car since I got it and it has always been garage kept. If I missed anything at all or if you would just like to find out more than send me a pm and I will be glad to answer any questions you might have.

Payment Method: I would like to make you all aware that I am financing this car. Basically, since I am financing the car I cannot get the title until my loan is paid off. Therefore, if you plan on financing then I will put my lender (Capital One) in contact with your lender so everything can be taken care of as quickly and as easily as possible. This really isn’t a big deal at all and it is very common in this type of situation, but I do not want you to have any surprises if you decide to buy the car.

Any serious buyers are welcome to come and look at the car and test drive it. I am located in Eastern Pennsylvania but I have no problem driving to meet you if you are interested in the car. I would be willing to drive a good distance if you show that you are a serious buyer so don’t be afraid to contact me about the car just because you aren’t located near me. If you are interested just pm me and I will respond with my contact information so we could set everything up.

lol for some reason it came out REALLY bad in the photos but the whole car in general could use a nice detail and it would make it look amazing.

The recall has been done. I havent touched anything on the suspension since I have owned the car because it doesnt need anything. This car handles absolutely amazing and needs nothing.

Have not really driven the E36 M3 extensively, but my brief experiences with this and only slightly more extensive experience with the E46 definitely shows that the E36 is better in tight spaces (i.e. auto-x) where the E46 is much better in most other ways. E46 has a lot more power and is just a better all-around car. But, it is ~ 3,500 lbs., and you can feel its weight in very tight areas. It isn't an auto-x car, but especially with the mods I have, I think it is a much more capable track car...and by far a better DD. Interior is light years ahead of its predecessor.

What about you?

I definitely agree with you. The E46 M3 handles amazing but it feels a little less connected compared to the E36. For some reason, it is also tough to feel the speed and acceleration in the E46. Im not saying that the car isnt fast. It is also much better in terms of comfort and features. I used my E46 M3 as a daily driver and it was much better than using my E36 to commute.

I also agree that the E46 is a much more capable track car. It needs nothing and can hit the track in stock form and perform amazing. However, the E36 is much cheaper to maintain and easier to work on.

yes, the e36 you can feel the road as if you were just driving on the frame, great handling in and out of turns and after all thats why it was voted best handling car at any price... thats just amazing. but yes the e46 feels like your driving a 300 hp cloud. smooth, effortless, just over all what a lux/sports car is supposed to be. and no... didnt get a ticket but i did get sideways :evil2
