They are genuine BMW RC061/062 in 8x18 and 9x18:

That would be my choice when getting new ones. I like m-parallels a bit more but "everyone" has those so..

How do wider tires at the rear affect the handling? The car feels a tad understeery with stock tire measures.

Very nice wheels, but most certainly a pain in the asss to keep clean. The old stock basketweaves that came with my car were a struggle. OEM dusty pads didn't help either.

Wokke, who cares if they are a pain in the ass to clean, the E31 is a pain in the ass anyway!

Those rims are amazing, I really like them. Makes me wonder if I made the right choice with my M-Parrallels.

I like the staggered (also pain in the ass) wheels on E31. Makes the car look like the monster that it is.

Cheers

I don't know if the E31 as such is a PITA, but whenever I see the spare parts prices I'm glad that I once decided to get myself an E24-M635 instead of an E31.

I have a friend in Australia whom I send spare once in a while since they are sometimes cheaper than in the US. Just today I ordered a cable set for the headlight and couldn't believe the price I saw.

Back to the rim: I do have a set with nogaro silver centers and those are easier to keep clean because you just don't see the brake dust as much as on the silver ones. :)

Cheers
