so if you guys remember i used electrical tape which was good for a few days but then it started to bubble and the adhesive wasnt as strong so i decided to paint it...im not done yet but heres some pics of what ive done...first i start off with a mix of wetsanding and dry sanding with 1000 grit. then i put 2 coats of self etching primer each coat 2 minutes apart and then leave it for 30 minutes....then i apply the first coat of the sandable black primer. each coat is 10 minutes apart and after the 2nd coat i let it sit for 30 minutes...then third i apply the gloss black paint and let it dry for 10 minutes and then apply a second coat. and thats it
i used duplicolor DAP-1690 self etching primer, DAP 1698 black sandable primer and then DAL-1677 gloss black laquer

good job so far.
i did the same on my e28, but with semi-gloss, not gloss. gloss paint seems a little too shiny for mouldings.

Good looking project so far, Farhod. Your car already has a glass-clean look. See, it's guys like you that keep me looking for ways to perFECT, tweak the car :cool. Since my car is already shadowlined, my next thing is new front brakes (cross-drilled rotors, ceramic pads), Eibach springs/Bilstein struts, droppin' it and then (later) adding a front spoiler and supercharger. That supercharger is more of a wish then a definite...lol

I may have to start tweaking the inside, also. Going to remove the subwoofer in my car (give it to my nephew) and get the BSW subwoofer.

LOL at you and your crew running around bustin' heads...LOL. What? And you used the 7 as the get-a-way car? I know it's got the juice to get you away, but that car of yours is eye candy, and is easily recognizable. Next time use your friends car :cool

Ok, I'll wait for other pics, later.
