HI i have a 1992 bmw 735i with an auto trans it just recently blew. I am wondering what i can do. anyways I thinkt he reason it blew is because my trans controler fried and the reason i believe this happend is in the diagnostic port under the hood two of my pins are melted leading my to believe that my trans controller fried at some point and htan my trans was shifting irratically etc etc over heated and blew. But when the trans did go i was accelerating to 40 mph and when i got to 40 it just i felt/heard a loud bang and that was if no R D 3 2 1 after that also when the car is running and than turned off u can here like something winding down and it sounds like its coming from the transmission. Im just curious if its teh trans or maybe the controller or the tourque converter im just looking for some input before i pull the trans out of the car and bring it to a shop. Also anyone know where i can get info on a stick shift swap? cause if i have to change my trans why not make it a stick!

ask here, that is a specialized E32 forum.
Maybe even someone with the same car lives near your place so that you could swop the control module etc. for testing, or someone could have a used tranny for you
