Hey guys, I'm trying to get my e21 back up to par and I need some help with a few things. Also should I just post new questions in this thread to prevent making a ton of threads every time something comes up?

First off, My tach doesn't work and neither does the clock on it. I noticed it didn't work on any of the cars I test drove when I was looking for one, and my old one never had a problem. I heard it could be a fuse and a few other things. What could it be?

Second the brake pedal sinks to the floor before braking, I think it is a master cylinder and will be checking for bubbles in the master in a bit. Any ideas on that or other possibilities?

for the brakes, the first step is bleeding them. if that doesn't keep it running fine for a prolonged period of time, then yes it's probably the master cylinder.

bump, any ideas on the tach. I'd like to get that fixed asap

pull out the gauge cluster and check the printed circuit in the back, and make sure the plugs are contacting properly. otherwise??? new tacho?
