i talked to a guy that works for bmw last year at the limerock vintage festival about a similar e21. he said just add working headlights and a horn and its street legal. he same withe the m1 race cars.

ok in california emmissions will be a problem but in connecticut both of those cars are exempt. im not stupid and i dont have my head up my ass. do some damn research before you rag on someone.

Im pretty sure its illegal to run a car with basically open headers shooting literally 7 foot flames out the side. Not to mention the deafening db's it would ensue on the public. Oh lets not forget the tires are also not 50 state legal.

Im sure there is a long list of other things as well.
