Right now i have 195/50r15 yokohama tires on my 15inch bbs on a 82 320is. could anyone recomend a good tire for that size for the summer but also is really good in the rain? im in norcal and live in the mountains (get lots of rain in the winter) Goodyear makes the eagle f1 in that size, the best tire (going off of tirerack) i'd just thought id check with you guys to see if anyone has had a better tire, also reasonably cheap would be GREAT!

cheers
Tor

I run Falcon ziex 512 in 205/50/15.

although they can't touch Eagle F1's, they do great in the rain, grip fairly well, and best of all, they can be found for under $250 shipped for a set if you look around.

how do you find the ride on these tires? i live 2 miles along a ferly old tar road, and when i do the sport suspension upgrade... is the ride nice? smooth? and grip is important to me lol, i like having fun, especially on the mountain roads around my house :-D

I've been pretty happy with the ride on the Falkens.
They ride smooth enough to be comfy, but firm enough to help you feel the road. They do very well with a few extra psi for autocrossing or "spirited" driving.

I believe they are Rotas, but I'm not 100% sure. I got a killer deal on them locally with a bunch of other goodies for my car.

You should be fine with the rough roads around your house. I have a pretty rough gravel driveway and the roads around NC State are horrid, but its still not bad, even with my suspension and a fixed back racing seat with little padding.

Oh yeah, another nice thing about the Falkens- At less than $60 a tire, you dont feel bad burning a little rubber.
Glad I could help
