View Full Version : Dont do it

What ever anyone tells you, don't do it.
If you get a chance to drive a stick touring...or even an M5T don't do it if you own a regular ol Touring

Don't do it bra....it'll fuk you up f'rea...yeah buddy, the M5T is like LIKE muthafkr
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/ggil-tx/bmw/elekta/photo1.jpg
I am so replaced that I have been trying to remember the old car and it's hard. I can remember the black. I can remember the stereo. I can remember the clear package. I miss the clear package loads. But I can't remember shit about the handling. I can't remember entering a turn, braking, accel'ng out of a turn. Nothing. My whole driving experience has changed for ever. I am so glad I never drove this car and had to go back to my old car afterwards. I can't put it any plainer than that. There is no turning back, and if you look that term up in the book it will not be my face with a Porsche in the background... it will be a picture of my face after a 5th to 3rd downshift in the stay wag (as my friend calls it) and a screaming right handed sweeper off the freeway, cork screw almost a whole 360 degrees.... crunching in, bump, over steer, drift a bit, losing it, getting it back, powering back...squeal..control, more acceleration.......up to 65 huhs..the whole thing is different, the whole 360' is different and I've made that same cork screw a thousand times in the old car...dreamt about the new car for a whole freakin 8 months, and now I'm in the dream...every day. Life will never be this good again. I found the girl friend, she's fucked me silly, and I get to keep her in the morning and fuck her all over again the next day.....it's a goddamned M5T ground hogs day nightmare and I aint tradin it for nuthin.

Word to the wise. Don’t EVER drive this car until it's yours. If you come to town, I won't even lift the hood for you. It's that dangerous. Put it this way. I won't step foot in another Touring unless it's a taxi in Euro or something......it's a stick with some grunt or forget it.

Hahaha!

Geoff's obviously a li'l enamored of his swanky new M5 UberWagon :D

What an awesome ride --- such a unique ride.

If you check out his sig pic, you'll see the back end of MY 530iT --- I bought his car, which was subsequently replaced by his M5T --- BUT, I have a cunning plan...

... hint: more Torque and an extra cog in the 'box...

(Yes, I said "cog in the 'box" :stickoutt )

Congrats on a PHATTTT RYYYYYDE, G-Man!!!!

And have another beer, on me :drink3

By the way - you owe me a 6-pack of Lone Star for the A/C pitstop in Bakersfield :D

I haven't driven the 540i/6 much since picking up another E36 (been daily driving it, sorting it out)... took the 540 today, and just driving down the street made me :)

then it got up to operating temp... :shifty

Mmmm...Touring with stick and enhanced handling. You're right, they're fun. :) I would love to have that extra 100 hp on the top end that you have, though!!!

Don't drive an M5, otherwise you'll IMMEDIATELY need to buy one.

I seriously don't use 5th probably 95% of the time. :rofl You're still accelerating with part throttle in 4th up to maybe 80 or so, and you just pull it to the right and back down again into 6th and cruise. And I've hit the speed limiter before I hit redline in 4th... :devillook

Yes I do....but rather than adding 100HP, I'm hoping to add more like 200HP, and probably with a non-BMW engine. But it'll be a year or two before I can get that project off the ground, so by then I'll probably be just another one of several big V8 manual tranny Tourings. :)

with a non-BMW engine. . :)

funny, my franken C buddy was just given a 380sl with a blown motor. That's right, a mint condition blue over tan merc convertible. flawless body paint...no motor worth fixing. He told me he's going to drop the ls 6 speed corvette motor in there instead...just make the shafts work into the merc diff and begin another franken project. must be nice

Thanks for the entertaining post. I agree.

BTW, I am now in the touring club. :D Full photoshoot this weekend.

Of course not as elite as the M5T club, but not bad for a "winter beater"
