Just wanted to say wassup to my fellow east coast bimmerheads. I'm going there for the weekend for my cousins birthday, arriving Friday morning and leaving Monday. This will be my first time to the "Big Apple" and wanted to know what's good.

I'm down for the tourist stuff, ie. Times Square, Statue of Liberty, and so on. Also if possible what's good to do that's inexpensive? I want to try and budget my spending.

Nightlife: What are some good nightclubs/bars. It doesn't have to necessarily have to be the ultra shiekest place or where all the trendy peoples go. Just a place where the ladies are plentiful :naughty(like some good asian clubs although I'm a lover of all nationalities). Over here in the Bay Area the clubs are pretty strict on enforcing dress code such as no sneakers, hats, shirt has to be a button-up. Can I get away with wearing "nice" jeans a casual shirt and possibly a blazer getting into clubs over there?

Sorry for all the questions but I just wanna try to have the best time their in the short time I have. Thanks in advance.

Here's some pictures of my car enjoy:

Its NYC, just go there. be prepared to walk alot, but not many hills like SF so it wont be very bad. Get a map of the subway. Its your best friend. Get day cards for the subway its cheaper without a doubt.

for ur clubbing needs: http://clubzen.com/events/
most of the asian parties are listed there. i personally like mixed crowds.
read the dress code. usually u can get in as long as u arent wearing shorts, sneakers, timberland boots, hat, wife beater...

a 21+ license, jeans, a shirt, and shoes will work almost anywhere. no need for blazer. its still hot here.

Oh I know what you mean about the walking part. I'm bringing my comfy shoes. I also agree with you on the subway. We are arriving at JFK and my cousin told us to take a shuttle to her NYU apartment but I told her we will just take the subway. Thanks

Thanks for the advice, much appeciated. I too like mixed crowds I wanna see how the women differ from the east as opposed to the west coast. More than likely my friend and I will hit up different places.

If your looking for a trendy spot. Head to 230 Fifth. No cover, but the drinks are pretty pricey. The selling point is the absolutely amazing view of Manhattan.

230 5th Ave
New York, NY 10001
Phone: (212) 725-4300

The other option is the Murry Hill area. Start at E. 31st street on 3rd. There are plenty of bars in that area.

Good luck and be safe.

This is true, yet alot of them got attitude or try to act conceited when in reality they really aren't all that. :rolleyes

Hey man get comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk around, Midtown is for Tourist and hell you are one, so join in. Plenty to see and do, all things here are imported, double decker bus, Statue of Liberty and yours truly. Cute Asians galore!! Hang out by Briant Park behind the NYC Public Library you will know what I mean if you go there, there is a beautiful lawn people suntan, eat hang out there, there is a great outdoor bar after hours you fight to stand in a spot and the Fortune 500 ladies are dressed to impress. I don't want to start a East coast vs West coast girls are..... but stand on the corner of any major intersection for 15 minutes and you need a neck massage!!! Go to China town and look around, buy crap, then walk to Little Italy and have a great meal. Head towards the Meat Packing District to hang with some high rollers if not go to little India on 6st between 1st ave.
Anywhere in the village will be an experience for most of my fellow Jerziats who look "At the City" like it was a six headed Dragon. Don't look like a dumb tourist and you will be ok. I comute five days a week into this wonderfull city and been doing it for more years than most of you have been wiping your own ass.

Have fun.
