Help!!! When I turn my lights, my headlights and tail lights come on but when I use my turn signal or turn on my hazards, they do not work. I changed the fuse for the hazards and blinkers with the correct voltage and nothing seems to work.

Anyone have any suggestions as what the problem may be? All this from switching light bulbs. I put my factory light bulbs back in and the problem persists.

Thanks.

Have you removed one of the bulbs yet to take a look at them? If not, do so and see if a filament is burnt out.

Have you ever thought how the bulbs work? When you turn your park lights on they light up...and when you use your turn indicator or flashers...they light up as well. Have you ever looked at them when you have the park lights on AND the flashers/turn indicators?

In order for your emergency flashers/turn indicators to be seen when you have the headlights on...they have to flash brighter. And to do that...the front bulbs have a dual filament. The park lights use a lower wattage filament...and the turn indicators use a higher wattage filament...all contained in the one bulb.

Your higher wattage filaments may be burnt out/blown...thus the park lights will illuminate...but the flashers won't work.

All it takes is to just look at one or both and see if that's the problem. Just because on of the filaments may be blown, doesn't mean that the whole bulb won't work. Think of the 3-way bulbs many people use in lamps around their home...if one of the filaments blows...most people still continue to use the other 2 "iluminations". :)

In fact, if the problem is a blown filament...I wouldn't throw the bulbs away. Check to see if the bulb will fit in your rear tail light bulb holder...you may have to file away one of the nibs/tabs on the base if the offset is incorrect...the bulb will still stay secure in the bulb holder with one nib/tab. Then keep these spare bulbs (wrapped or protected) in your tool kit. That way, if one of your tail light blows out (they're single filament bulbs)...you can insert one of these spares if you are stuck out on the road etc...this will help prevent getting pulled over and possibly ticketed. ;)

Save the earth, and re-purpose the bulb...Al Gore will be proud! :lol

Good luck.

I checked the bulb filaments. They look fine on the factory bulbs that I put back in. I can't use my turn signals at all and they do not come on in the back when I turn my lights on. Only in the front turn signals come on but no turn signals in the front or back blink when I turn on my blinkers.

I changed my tail lights from Stock to clear. I didn't buy any cheap tail lights and they were working perfectly fine. I put the stock tail lights back on to see if it was the wires in the clear tail lights and the problem continues with the stock tail lights.

Could it be a relay?? I heard that a dealer is the only place that I could get a relay for this car instead of going to Auto Zone or something like that.

Thanks

I found the problem. It was a short in the ground wires to the lights. I had to take it to the dealer.

Thanks.

ok, same problem here with my 00 sport.

the turn signals work on the outside, but no indicator or ticking sound that is usually associated with turn signals being on. same for the hazard lights, no dash indicator.

ALSO, the stereo is completely dead. no lights, no power. I've checked all radio related fuses in the trunk and glove box.

any ideas???
