Okay, so I'm going after the shimmy as my first fix. No Needle.

Plans so far are:

New Bushings
Tie rod ends
Control Arms
Wheel bearings ? - as necessary?

I've been reading all over the net that improved control arms are available. Does anyone have any experience with these - looking for any info on brands and performance for these in particular. I've been advised that replacing the wheel bearings at this time would be a good idea - just to make it a total job and likely a complete pain - Whatcha all think?

Finally I've talked to couple locals who advise that aftermarket parts in the mid-level performance category are often cheaper than OEM - Is this true - what have you noticed?

The local dealership has long history of asking insane prices and seems to be soundly ignored by everyone here who owns anything older than 8yrs.

Getting started

Cool I'll check them out. Hope they'll ship to Canada as alot of US sites don't seem too happy to sell to hockey players - especially now that we're at par or better.

You have to watch out, theres lots of sub-standard control arms that will fail very quickly. Somone should know what the good brands are.

That's what I've been told. By cheaper I really should have said less expensive, crappy quality, control arms.
