New to the forums and new to BMW. I just bought a 89 525i bmw. It is a e34 with a m20 engine i believe. I payed close to nothing on a car that has no rust no accidents just the timing belt was put the wrong way and messed up pistons, valves......etc. I want to replace the engine. Any ideas....PLEASE HELP. I love this car. I loved this car sine i was real young and have big plans and big ideas. I need help on engine.
-Should i go with a stock m20 from bmw and turbo it
-Would a m5 engine same year work and are there a lot of mods
-Junk yard motor and when it finally goes bad refurbish it and then bore the head and what not.
-I know I know but it's a idea put a chevy block in(something never done before, might get a few good loooks)
I PLAN ON MAKING THE CAR LUXURY NOT SPEED, BUT I DO WANT A KICK BEHIND IT......PLEASE HELP any ideas would be greatlly appreciated and taking in consideration.
