I sent back the TC's in place of some HD's for my E34.

Does anyone remember when they installed theirs? I wondering if I'm missing some parts for the fronts/rears.

The fronts didn't come with the spanner nut thing (the part that screws into the strut housing) to install the strut in the strut housing. Is it supposed to come with them?

As for the rears...they didn't come compressed with the usually bands around the shock to keep it compressed. Did yours come with? Is it going to be a problem if these don't have them when they showed up at my door?

I really don't want to return these, but if I have to, I will. I've already been through 2 sets of TC's that were totally missing pieces left and right. I was told the HD's usually come complete "more often".

Where the hell are you getting your parts from?

The HD's should come with the gland nut and the lock nut for the strut. I'm pretty sure they also always come compressed.

What is the gland nut? Lock nut?

The fronts came compressed.
The rears did not.

The fronts came compressed with the boot and top nut, nothing else.
The rears came with the perch, some sort of cap that goes over the shock rod and rests on the shock and the top nut.

Not sure I want to say where I got them just yet...

Where'd you buy 'em?

These were HD's?
