Nice forum. I own a 2001 330i Exlusice custom Mags and DVD enterainment system (pics to follow), I however became the proud owner of a 2004 X3 Black 3.0 Petrol Engine. SPorts Package with every extra known to man except Bluetooth and iPod :(. SO lets make my first post a significant one as I have many questions

The vehicle has a 2004-1 BMW Digital Roadmap. I was told by the dealer that there is a new version available for South Africa. I was also asked to leave my car there for a couple of minutes so they can complete a firmware upgrade for the Professional to work with the new DVD. I however need to order the new DVD which can take about 2 weeks.

Question: Can you update the DVD disk by yourself, and how ...and where do you get the CARINDB files etc.

Question: Can you overide the TV setting to play while you are driving ?

Question: I need the details of the system installed in the car, how do I find this out ?

Question: The TV funtion shows a AV option but I dont know how it works as well as capabilities ... can someone advise as well on this

Question:What would the forum suggestion be for this BMW's proposed IN CAR DVD system. BMW locally seems a bit perplexed at my questions and seem a bit clueless :). I want two screens in the headrests and I was wondering if they need to replace my existing professional series satnav and radio
