I'm looking for a good set of M+S tires for my X3 for short weekend trips to Tahoe or Reno during the winter. Most of the time it'll be city and highway driving but I'd like to be able to go snowboarding and stuff.

Does anyone have any affordable recommendations for tires on the stock 17" rims?

So far the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S tires have gotten good reviews but they are from sedan and coupe owners. But at $100/ea at Tires.com they seem like they'd be worth a try.

Anyone try them on the X series? Any other recommendations for M+S tires?

Thanks for the recommendation on the Asimmetricos but I didn't see my size for the stock 17" rims. :(

I wonder if I can talk my wife into getting the X5 or some new 18" rims! haha! Fat chance!
