Anyone have experience with them?
They are one of my choices but for the same price I can get CCW Classics or BBS RS or something else.

I had a set of Compomotive wheels on a 124 Spyder many years ago. They were round and looked good.. IMO go with CCW or BBS
Anyone have experience with them?Compomotives are popular in the rally community because they're very tough. I know a ton of guys back home who run them on Evo's, STi's, Cossies, etc. The downside is that they also tend to be quite heavy. There are better choices out there if light weight and sexy cosmetics are important. But it's hard to find a more durable wheel.

Thank you, I will ask them how much the set I want weights.

The ones I want are 17x8.5 and weigh 19lbs. Thinking maybe I can go 9 wide and be able to run 255s if I want with an a nice looking large lip.
Thoughts? Price is about 2400 same as ccw and what bbs rs' are going for about...
The ones I want are 17x8.5 and weigh 19lbs.Wow. That's surprisingly light for a Compomotive wheel. I've always been a big fan of the MO5:

They look great on the Evo VII-IX, Escort RS Cosworth, and E36 M3 IMNSHO.
I also quite like their 3-piece BBS RS style wheel:

Thinking maybe I can go 9 wide and be able to run 255s if I want with an a nice looking large lip.I don't know about the E36 M3. Can you get a 9" wide wheel to fit without issues?
FWIW, you can definitely fit 255 tires on an 8" wheel: I used to run 255/40-R17 Falken RT-615's on my OEM 17x8" Evo VIII Enkeis. This was a popular set-up for the Evo. The sidewalls are folded in slightly, but I never noticed a problem (even on the track).
Thoughts? Price is about 2400 same as ccw and what bbs rs' are going for about...I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I would personally prefer BBS RS wheels...on my E30. But I don't think they look "right" on an E36.

the rs' definitely look right but because of the low offset (et13) i am required to stretch tires.
i do believe i can run 9" with correct offsets but ill be happy wit 8.5 as look as i can get asthetically pleasing lips.

I've heard that the paint quality is extremely poor. We have a dealer in the vicinity selling them, but he told me that he needs to have every rim repainted prior to selling it.

Yes, it's true about the finish of these wheels.
My wheels are about 8 years old and only seen roads since last year and the clear coat on them is cracking from age:
