This kit was originally purchased from Kosta here on BF.c

The kit includes an E36 console, mounted Z8 push button, wiring harness, & instructions for installation. You will need to remove the rubber matt and switch covers from your current console.

The possible start scenarios are...

It's either ebrake up turn key hit button
or turn key hit button
or turn key hit button or just turn key

You need the key inserted!!!

Also, you can wire it to the ebrake so it only functions with the ebrake up...I did not wire mine so that the ebrake had to be up though.)

This is a 3 wire install and is fairly easy. I will provide the install instructions that I used to install.

This modification offers no performance to your vehicle at all. Having said that, it was one of my favorite mods.

I don't think I said anything about remote starting. I never understand why people shit on other people's for sale threads. Especially considering how detailed and up front my post was.

that blows.....I hate people who do that....I was just checking to see if you were the one who bought it or why you are selling two of them....it all makes sense now.......good luck again with the sell......

I do too, but the guy wasn't a douchebag and wether or not his reason was true for backing out, I sympathized with him. I'll probably just relist it.

There's a resistor in the key the car has to "read". That's why you've gotta have the key in.

so are you saying that with older models without a resistor (like a '93) you dont need the key in??? but how does it unlock the steering column without a key???

Thats why the key is needed to unlock the column... or new models had the chip in the key, and the keys needed to register to the dme it can start etc.

Cool stuff though but me turning the key is good enough for me.

GL with the sale man.
