im hardwiring my radar in and i wanted to know how to get by the pillar airbags. if i unhook the battery or if i dont even have to worry about it.

I haven't done it on the 328 yet but I have on my Q7 and A6 and both had curtain airbags. In both cases, I just tucked the wire in between the trim and windshield.

I just ran my wire behind the trim...

Run it to the right pillar, tuck in along pillar, and into removable side panel to get to fusebox behind the glovebox. Easy.

the pillar is removable and very inexpensive to replace if you brake it by mistake. Go gor it!

I used a wooden popsicle type stick to gently tuck the radar detector wire in behind the pillar trim. I did not take the trim oof and it worked out very well. You can not see any wires at all.
