i figured i would start a CT caravan thread since it's starting to get confusing with all of these bav auto threads going on.

Ok so the plan as of right now is to have everyone meet up in the commuter lot off of exit 70 on I-95 in Old Lyme at about 5 AM and leave there to meet up with the Mass caravan (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=827343)at 6:45 AM then head up to Bav Auto from there. if anyone has anything else to add, or wants to meet up with us somewhere, let me know via PM or here.

i can drive wherever to meet you guys in CT.i can roll down towards hartford in 20 mins and meet you on 91. driving a lot isn't a problem for me:D

Davey we gonna take 95 all the way up so the best way for you is take 84 to 9 to 95 and meet us at exit 70 on 95 north.... i dunno where you are coming with 91? are you going to meet somebody else on 91?

I was just looking at a map, and it looks like 95 heads right through providence. The 395'ers (like myself) can take 395 to 6 and be dumped right out into providence if everyone wanted to meet up there? Just an idea.

that sounds like a decent plan. i did some looking on google maps and found a big shopping center right off of exit 2A on 95 that is easy to get to. would you all want to try that?

what ever you do, DON'T mapquest it. mapquest's sole purpose is to get you as far away from home as possible and disorient you until you die from it. use google maps for the best results. i have a link in the first post in this thread that brings you to a map of the route.(starting at the lot)

the place we are meeting is a commuter parking lot right off of exit 70, which is the first exit over the bridge on 95N when you merge on from route 9. when you get off the exit, just take a left and you'll see it.

actually im just gonna do this. meet you guys up at the braintree meeting place. its an hour n a half vs. unless there an easy way to get to exit 70. i really dont know the roads down there. and i may be alone so.............

what town is exit 70 near? trying to see if its possible or a time waster

it's pretty easy to get to the lot. if you know how to get to route 9, take 9 south, which you will follow until it ends at I-95. at which point you would merge onto I-95 North, and the next exit will be exit 70 in old lyme.

it takes an hour for me to get there

i dont know yet. ill figure it out tommorrow. its gettin late. if i did id take the hartford/providence tpke till i hit killingly road, then ill be in dayville and boom..395. its about a 30-45 min trip. but at 4 am, more like 20 though :D ill let ya know soon

Yep, everybody can tune in the same channel. There were 4 of us that did this on the caravan back from Z Homecoming.

Walmart has a couple different radio options that start around $30 and go up from there. Mine are the bare bones Cobra model.

Anyone else want to go 395/6 and meet with the 95 guys in providence? Or am I all alone? If there aren't enough people gathered up for 395, I might just have to suck it up and drive down to Old Lyme :(

I am in the Northeast corner. I don't even have to get on 395. I am a few streets over from 6, which brings us right to providence.

where are you in CT? I'm from Woodstock originally and still over there a couple days a week...I live in RI and never see hooked up bimmers on my way back on route 6!

i can get the address to the plaza monday afternoon. my budy delivers pizza in bristol. ill ask him if he knows. it should be right off 6, no?

it looks like the bristol place shopping plaza is actually just over the MA border. the address is Bristol Place Shopping Center, Rt. 1A & I-95, South Attleboro MA

ok....if we leave the lot in old lyme at 5 sharp, according to google it will take 1 hour & 20 minutes to get to exit 2a (the shopping plaza) and 33 minutes from there to get to the metting place in MA.

if this is correct, we will be at the first stop at 6:20 AM (where we are meeting the others from CT) and the second stop at 7:50. this will give us some time for rest when we reach the second caravan for a 7:15 departure.

so here's the timeline

4:45-5 AM meet up in the commuter lot just off of exit 70 on I-95
5:00 AM leave the lot and drive up to Bristol Place Shopping Center, Rt. 1A & I-95, South Attleboro MA

last year there was 275+ and it was raining! the year before that was nice weather, they were at full lot capacity of 350 cars, before noon!

yea man that's not a problem, was planning on leaving my house around 4:40 if you want we could meet up at the sunoco gas station before we cruise to exit 70..... are you by any chance a handy carpenter? want to put in a sub and need some help building a frame for this the sub box i want to put in.... worst scenario what are we gonna do if it rains? as of right now 40% shower but its early.... gotta be prepare for mother nature...

it looks like the bristol place shopping plaza is actually just over the MA border. the address is Bristol Place Shopping Center, Rt. 1A & I-95, South Attleboro MA

ok....if we leave the lot in old lyme at 5 sharp, according to google it will take 1 hour & 20 minutes to get to exit 2a (the shopping plaza) and 33 minutes from there to get to the metting place in MA.

if this is correct, we will be at the first stop at 6:20 AM (where we are meeting the others from CT) and the second stop at 7:50. this will give us some time for rest when we reach the second caravan for a 7:15 departure.

so here's the timeline

4:45-5 AM meet up in the commuter lot just off of exit 70 on I-95
5:00 AM leave the lot and drive up to Bristol Place Shopping Center, Rt. 1A & I-95, South Attleboro MA
6:20 AM meet up with the rest of the CT crew and leave imediately

NE corner. Small ass town called Brooklyn. It's near killingly/putnam/woodstock. I won't have mine done for awhile because it is on my co-pilots camera.
