The last few days, a warning light has come up on the dash that there is a malfunction with one of the exterior lights on the car. I've got out and checked all the lights several times, but it looks like they are all working properly. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible that the sensor is actually malfunctioning?

Mine has flashed the symbol once at me, but hasn't done it since. I may get this looked at too here soon.

Mine turned out to be a brake light that was not functioning.

cool, thanks for the info. I am going to check out my brake lights too and see if that is the problem. It has been coming on intermittenly for the past few weeks, but the past few days it has been on the every time I drive the car.

I read a thread on this a while back. It happened to a few people,every one said the problem was the rear brake light bar or the rear brake light switch.

If its intermittent, it might be the adaptive break lights that come on during hard braking only. That's what I am leaning toward with mine, and yes there is a service advisory out for it.

thanks man, it must be one of the brake lights then. I am going to check it out tonight and then take it to the dealer.

There are 2 bulbs per side brake light. Make sure they are all in the socket tight.

cool, thanks I will give that a shot. I really don't want to take the car in to the dealer for something so minor, but I guess that's what a warranty is for.
