The St. Louis Chapter of the BMWCCA is holding its initial autocross challenge at the SCCA autocross event on October 21st at Gateway International Raceway. We are all entering the SM (Street Modified) class no matter the level of car preparation to compete against each other and as a run group. We have all been discussing this for some time and now I can finally smack some of you high horsepower cars down in a fair fight! This is open to all Bimmerheads in the area. Registration for the SCCA is online at www.dlbracing.com or you may enter at the event site. My van/tow vehicle will serve as the Bimmer headquarters for the day. We are trying to get some grilling action coordinated and make a day out of it. Come on out and get humbled by the world famous POScort!

Just a reminder for this weekend. All Bimmerheads are invited whether club members or not. So far four of us have jumped in to spend a day at the autocross.

It is a timed competition on a course defined usually by pylons in a large area. Cars run one at a time and the fastest time wins. Much more information may be found at www.stlsolo.org concerning the event and a much better description.
