So I think I have it figured out.

So there was a cellular system installed in my car. Audiovox/Motorola.

That's what all these wires are under my seat. They tapped into the alarm, for some reason.

Does anyone have ANY ideas if it's possible to undo it and hook the alarm back up??

The input wire to the brain is UNplugged and and the little box that goes to the battery is off.

I REALLY want my alarm so any input is G R E A T L Y appreciated.

Well Q posted a diagaram maybe 6 months back outlining standard equipment on our cars.

1995 525is didn't get the alarm brain while the 530/540 did. I'm trying to figure out what that brain does.

So, I may be confusing the brain with the black box pictured. I do have that box under my seat... But it's all raped by that STUPID phone system.

Tomorrow I'm going to head over the Euro junkyard and see if I can get a wiring harness... and rip that STUPID phone system out. Anyone see a problem with this??? I'm nervous about it....

What ALL does the harness include? I just need the green connector harness... That's all that is tapped into.

What is different between your control unit and the one on Q's CarDomain?

When you get a remote, there is a chip in it. You take the chip out of the remote and put it in a holder in the control unit. You press the reset button and VOILA, or that's how it is according to the manual...

I'm going to take that STUPID phone thing out. Then I'm going to get a harness and hook it up to the alarm. That little box goes on the battery, right?
