Hey guys, I am thinking of selling the car. It cost way more than I ever figured it would and as a college student, I just can't carry this debt any more. The car is a 93 R1 with 58k miles on the chassis. Engine is an 01 LS1/T56 with 43k. Overall a very good condition low mileage engine/car combo. It was originally a Vintage Red car. The previous owner repainted it Corvette Quicksilver two weeks before I bought the roller from him which was in January 07.

Few details about the car:
-Pyro/Granny's mounting kit
-Thunder Racing TRex cam and Crane dual valve springs
-JTR 1-3/4" LTs
-86 Corvette Radiator/Taurus fan
-Wiring harness modified by Dan Snyder
-3" Magnaflow muffler
-LS6 PCV
-Stock pulley and throttle body, although this might change soon
-stock clutch and flywheel
-steel DS from Granny's
-stock shifter
-Exhaust is 1-3/4" JTRs into 2.5" to get over the tranny brace, then merge into a single 3" back to a 3" inlet Magnaflow, dual 2.5" outlet (very mellow at idle, sounds like a muscle car at WOT)
-Stock R1 suspension
-Brembo cross drilled rotors with stock pads (I believe)

It has an amazing street tune on it tuned by Josh Bommer (STL V8 guys will know him), and I just got it dyno'ed yesterday. It made 389rwhp on a rich, conservative tune. There's definitely some more in it and I will be getting the tuned tweaked a bit soon. The oil pressure gauge and speedo are the only things that aren't done yet gauge-wise. My Dakota Digital shipped from Hinson today, along with Hinson bumpsteer. Once they get here, I will finish up the gauges.

Aside from that, the only things left to complete are "tidying" up the interior wiring and under the hood wiring: hiding the ECU, hiding some wiring under the dash, cleaning up the interior panels, etc. Interior is in good condition. The plastics are fair, but the seats and carpet are great. I will get pics asap.

Please let me know if you have any questions; contact me either by PM or email (cmburstadt@gmail.com). I am currently asking $23,000 obo as it sits now. The car is 95% done with just a few details left in the interior to complete. I might end up finishing it 100% as its obviously easier to sell it complete, but like I said, the debt is catching up to me so I figured I'd get the ball rolling on selling it. This is an amazing car and is absolutely amazing to drive.

I have something you might be interested in, 1990 525i, Black, no rust, grey leather interior, seat warmers, bumpings system, but if you only have a grand to spend ill take it out, beyond that she rides like a dream, new suspension entirely, new tires, trans is mint, engine was rebuilt 80k ago, only issue is a slightly rough idle due to a vacuum leak, and someone put a loud ricer exhaust on it before I bought it. Interior has a wear, consistent with a 17 year old car, but nothing you cant clean and Leatherique. I'll be posting an ad for it in 2-3 weeks, I'm driving her to Chicago from Boston, and back from the 19th to the 2nd of January. After that I'm looking for an A6 or a newer 525 or 528 or 8 series. Shoot me an email at asadqh@gmail.com, I dont have any pics of it since 8 inches of snow have fallen on boston, but when I get to Chicago I'll really clean her up and take some pictures.

What a great toy, can the chasis handle the v8 though?

There are several 600+rwhp V8 FDs running around with no problems. The only "weak" point is the rear end. Some of the high horsepower guys swap in a Cobra IRS if they are going to do a lot of drag passes. Considering my horsepower and the fact that I have no interest in going to a drag strip, I don't have any concern about the rear end.
