My buddy wants the steering wheel coming out of my 97 328i since its in much better shape than the one in his 95 530. I've searched and I know the splines are the same, but the issues seems to be with the slip ring. However, nobody has really said what needs to be fixed to make the E36 steering wheel work. Do you simply swap over the slip ring from the E36 wheel and forgo the E34 slip ring?

I too would also like to know... my wife's 97 316 has a steering wheel that is much too nice for that grocery getter :D
