So the e30's accelerator cable snapped on me in the middle of Ashford Dunwoody tonight. Luckily I had some rubber hose in the trunk, I tied it in a knot with the frayed metal cable that was left and drove it home with that going through the window :alright I should take some pics for laughs.

Does anybody happen to have an e30 accelerator cable I could buy off you ASAP? I gotta get this fixed before Road Atlanta next weekend :eyecrazy

I've seen a few places online but to expedite the shipping its more than the cable itself and I don't want to have to resort to the stealership.

Just get one from United. Not that expensive, and they can have it next day.

Or even better, how about Harrison Motorsports? www.harrisonmotorsports.com

They can probably get one on the quick also.

Yeah, maybe I'll call Harrison on monday :) I'm gonna head up there after RA anyways for some 4 point harnesses, but now maybe i'll head up there again this week.

I'm not too worried about the prices on this from a dealership, just thought i'd see if anybody had anything so I could get everything fixed up tomorrow when nothing else is open since its a busy week for me and I'd like to get it done before Friday so I can watch the club race.

The same exact thing happened to me not too long ago except I tore a random wire out of the car and tied it to the frayed cable and ran it through the window just like you. I got one from United same day for $40. They had them in stock...

Awesome, I think I'll be swinging by there tomorrow. Thats pretty funny too, I considered ripping out the wire for the rear defroster (already got rid of most unnecessary wires). :stickoutt

Nobody had it in stock, so I ended up overnighting it from pelican for about the same price as the part is at any dealer :\

Got mine from Baker Imports in Sandy springs for around $30. Easy fix.
