still waiting to install my dinan chip...no one wants to do an ews-II alignment for some reason

But it seems to take you a while to get to 60, but that's probably just these cars in general. 5.9-6.2 seems to be the consensus...which is pretty quick, but it just seems to take a while. I just took a spirited drive full of straight-line runs, and it is annoying how long it seems to take to get to 60, even if it's supposedly high 5s to low 6s. :D

Yeah, 0-60 is sluggish for our iron-block of a car. But in 3rd gear, 55-75MPH is so damn fun :D

But C&D in '95 tested a 540i/6 to 0-60 in 5.9...and to be honest it doesn't feel like 5.9. More like 6.5. Probably because my car isn't in tune/has high mileage/bad motor. :rofl

From how the speedo was moving, yours pulls barely faster 70-100 than mine, but it keeps up that pace past 100.

Or because they get the car for a few days after which they send it back ... whereas you have to pay for anything you break out of your own pocket. If someone gave me someone else's car you better believe I'd be beating any figure published by the manufacturer.

3.15 LSD and 93 octane EAT chip will get your 0-60 in the 5's.

well i didnt lauch the car hard due to signs of my clutch slipping, along with the shifts, however as we all know these arent drag cars but are 100% fun to drive and puts a smile on my face eveytime i get in..which is everyday.. another note, some of you may not remember but i did post a vid of my idiot freinds racing my 540 in his e39 98' 540/6, he only put 2 cars on me to 128 and was stunned

according to windows media movie maker 0-60 was in 5.62 and 0-100 in 14.88
i'll be taking it to gainsville raceway soon to get real times once it cools off down here

That is pretty good, considering the 97-98s were underrated and making 300+ bhp. :)

I'd add about .3-.5 seconds to that because our speedos are usually 5 or so MPH fast at that speed.

Nice video. Watching that needle pass 105 made my clutch foot shake (it really wants to drive a 5spd again :)) (Sigh because of my auto)

lol...by watching your other vids I can see why the clutch is slipping. Shoot me a PM when you decide to go to Gainesville Raceway. A bunch of the BMW guys here are going out Nov. 7th, should be nice and cool then.

If you do a search I think I have them all listed... can't remember if that was with the 3.15 or 3.64.

Nice. I do have the 3.64 LSD in. I am working on getting videos of it. It is quick. I raced an 04 350Z the other day. Started at 50 and went to 130. I pulled at least 10 cars on him. Not sure if it was 100% stock or not. The guy driving it was cool and told us, (my brother was in the car with me, so I have a witness) "Now that's how you drive your car!" I have to get my front diff mount bushing replaced first before I can get a good 0-120 run in because is just rattles for the first 5-10mph.
