I saw this nice 135i at the Performance Center this week. Anyone here planning to get one?

Gotta see how it goes first. If it bombs and they offer good deals and cheap financing, maybe. If demand is high and they're going for over MSRP, F that.

What are prices going to be like? I hear 25-28 for a 128 which would more be in my price range but I'm assuming a 135 would be way OUT of my range.

Really? :(

If it's that expensive, I'm just gonna buy the Camaro or the Challenger, I already have my turn hugger, I need something that will sprint the quarter.

I want to see one in person. I can't make up my mind on the styling from the pic. I also want to see how big it actually is.

I really like it! I cannot wait for someone to put a E39 M5 engine or a V10 in it!! WOOO HOOOO!

It looks to be about the size of the E30 . . .judging by the pic . . . I don't know . . .all of the Bangle-Era cars are the size of the previous generation's lower series . . .i.e. the 2006 330i is roughly the size of an E34.

Looks boxier than I thought it would (at least in the pic). Kind of Charger-ish, but in a BMW way.

If it's lighter, the 135 could be a nice pocket rocket that doesn't give off that Fast and Furious-wannabe vibe like the WRX

I'll let you know. We are renting one for 10 days beginning on Friday.

Edit: Most likely a 128...

135 + Vishnu = Good bye E39 M5.

The front end (actually the whole car) reminds me of the e46 compact (which Bill will also see many of in Germany) Which is a good thing.

I am thinking 135i + TRM tuning = :buttrock

Now that would be good. When's Mike going to be able to do these things?

I'm thinking seriously about getting one but probably only if I got a great deal on it...I certainly won't pay msrp or above. But now I'm thinking the smarter move would be to get a used '07 335i and save the depreciation and taxes. I believe the 135i is only about 200 lbs lighter.

+1

And also +1 on TRM tuning

I think I'm the only one here who thinks that car is hideous...

Maybe modded they will look better.

Thats one thing I like about it.

It looks like a photoshopped 3 series.

Maybe the hatchback version I will like better.

Or maybe a 135CSI or CSL . . .MMMMM 135CSL would make me sell an organ.

It's a black BMW so my opinion is biased because I basically love any black BMW. Anyways that looks awesome.

I was about to buy a new VW GTI 6-speed this week but decided to wait until college graduation to buy a 1er or the MKVI GTI or whatever else is sweet around then.

And I'm an E34 guy. :)

It's going to have to prove less popular than the Yugo to fall into your price range.

Sweet. About the size of an E46 in an E87 platform.

One of the guys at the Performance Center said it was 350 lbs lighter than the E90 but he hadn't driven it yet so no feedback on the performance.
