I have a 2005 Dinan M3 that I would like to sell. I need to know how I can set a price on a modified car. Can you recommend how to price the car, is there a site to go to, any recommendations would be helpful.

Thank you.

I guess it would be the current value of your car + the cost of the dinan setup - depreciation. But to tell you the truth, usually modified cars' prices aren't that much different from a stock cars prices.

What Dinan modifications are on the car? "Dinan modified" could describe anything from a few cosmetic mods to a full supercharged setup with suspension.

Typically, if you have a lot of mods (supercharger, suspension etc.), you are better parting out the modifications and putting the car back to stock. If you try to sell modified, you are narrowing your potential buyers to a much smaller pool. Plus, people just assume you drove the hell out of your car if you modified it (probably because most of us do...)

What tha!!!! What do you have on your car??? think you might be better off parting it out. The only thing is that not many people care for Steve Dinan's products!! Good luck.

See...if you trade the car in, dealerships do not care about mods, they just follow KBB. Now if you sell the car privately expect to get much more for your vehicle. I dont know if youll get the 103K tho. HA

What are the mods?

Someone may value and be ready to pay higher than the stock car but the such buyer market is small.

I personally would pay some premium but I am also wary of mods which also indicates that the car may have been pushed to the limits.

Bottomline - returns on mods is very small if any - you will be better off by returning it to stock and selling the mods separately
